2006 Mabank Texas Fire
On July 31, 2006, a devastating fire broke out in downtown Mabank. According to a report by CBS 11 TV in Dallas, "Firefighters say it started in a dry cleaners...Several historical buildings that housed businesses including a dry cleaners, a hair salon and an insurance company were completely destroyed." This is certainly one of the biggest events that Mabank has seen in the past several years, and surely won't be forgotten. We would like to thank the Mabank Fire Department and the other departments that responded.
